"Uniqueness and escapism are just two pillars that we built the Siam upon to create an iconic hotel. So it was only fitting that when it came time to update the brand photography, we reached out to another awarding duo, Sven and Sin from Ellsworth/Lim, with a photography brief to deliver our one-of-a-kind image library that captures the very essence of The Siam."
Nick Downing, General Manager
In late 2020 and into 2021, we were commissioned by The Siam Hotel to create a new set of images for one of the most ICONIC boutique hotels in Bangkok.
Originally in 2016, we were first commissioned to photograph Connie's Cottage, which is the cliché for a genuinely unique Bangkok experience in a century-old traditional Thai teak house (chosen by the well known American Silk tycoon, Jim Thompson for his best friend, Connie Mangskau) that has been transformed into a rustic Thai Pool Cottage.
The design of this stunning luxury hotel set amidst 3 acres of lush gardens on the Chao Phraya River was inspired by Musée d'Orsay in Paris. Conceived by creative director Krissada Sukosol Clapp in collaboration with architect Khemvadee Paopanlerd and interior/landscape designer Bill Bensley, the ambiance and architectural style reflect the period of Bangkok's greatest grandeur, under King Rama V (circa 1853-1910), with Art Deco accents.
